We loved the awesómica TRGCON, as the community calls it. From 22 to 24 October, La Nave in Madrid brought together a technical community keen to talk about artificial intelligence (#TRG26), and onext was there with a stand and a workshop. This insight is, above all, a thank you: to the organisers, to everyone who signed up for the workshop and to everyone who stopped by the stand for a chat.
Thursday: the workshop and the dinner that never happened
On Thursday 22 October we ran the workshop "Ata en corto a tus agentes: SDD en directo" (Keep your agents on a short leash: SDD live), a hands-on session on how to work with coding agents guided by specifications, known as Spec-Driven Development (SDD). The seats sold out in under 30 minutes.
After the workshop came the best part: the conversations. There were so many, and they ran so long, that we missed Thursday's dinner. Worth it.
As some people missed out on the workshop, we have prepared new online sessions, free and 90 minutes long: Thursday 5, Friday 13 and Thursday 26 November. You can sign up on the online workshop page.
Friday: La Nave packed and the lunchtime octopus
On Friday La Nave filled up and it was the day of the talks. Between sessions we had really good conversations at the stand, and uncertainty about AI and the challenges ahead for the industry kept coming up. In the middle of it all, lunch, with a delicious octopus dish that deserves a mention of its own.
The atmosphere at TRGCON is special. The master of ceremonies is a real star, but what truly makes it special is the honest, transparent space it creates for exchanging opinions.
Saturday: the DesconferencIA
Saturday was the DesconferencIA, TRGCON's open space, with no talks. It was superbly organised, and we had an informal debate about the future of the programmer's role, about Spec-Driven Development and about AI in public administration. We came away feeling that the doubts each of us carries are shared by far more people than it seems.
Thank you to the TRGCON organisers for putting on something like this, and to everyone we met at La Nave. Until next time.
